Should musicians move while they play music? - Page 2

Some bands should, others shouldn't. For example, pop-punk bands should stay still cos they look like total twats. Bands like GY!BE I will let off for sitting down to play, cos the music is incredible. Like Hayden said, ATDI were untouchable. And hardcore bands should remain constantl moving.

(With the Pixies reunion, I agree with Julian, did you take a peek at his face when he was screaming!? Apparently not! That passionate motherfucker!)

bands should above all else be authentic, if that involves moving or not,

it can all depend on the type of band and music, but when watching live bands i want honesty,

i wouldnt want to see a band that had a forced stage presence, thatd be awful,

Well considering that they have to play they can't really not move.

The Kraftwerk percussion guys used to move. Kraftwerk used to move a lot in general back in the old days.

i was replying to Catankkkk----and yes SC,maybe they used to move back in the days...but even stephen hawkings used to.

edit: i added "maybe" because actually i've never seen an old kraftwerk concert.

I have seen footage of old Kraftwerk shows where they are most definitely movign around and even interacting with the audience to a degree.

i thought the whole controversy of moving musicians had been sorted out during the times of elvis

but anyway.

this thread strangely reminds me of that episode of futurama that features the preserved heads of u.s. ex-presidents. we could do that to musicians and they could play their instruments via wires in their brains maybe.
