generally speaking, when people speak foreign languages, specially for a long time, grammar is not their main problem, mostly it is their uncommon use of syntax that native speakers find strange.

that is because someone's speech is conditioned by the syntax of their first language. Of course, all of us make efforts to adapt our speech to the context.

i suppose you would understand that better if you spoke any foreign languages fluently.

but, since you have given me precious advice, here's the retribution: when you go to uni the know-it-all attitude won't be very helpful.
