The best advice I ahve ever gotten on this subject is to think abou the kind of places you LOVE to spend time in.
It is in these places that you are likely to find someone with similar interests and a similar frame of mind.
These can be anything from libraries, to museums, to record stores, to your favorite park.
bars are terrible for anything other than funding a fuck.
