The only thing that really sucks about strats are the knob placements. Mine has a good tone. There are TONS of better guitars. It's widely popular because it is a rock cliche. Most beginners start with a strat.
If you know what you're doing you can make it sound great.
This is less about you not being allowed to hate strats and more about me trying to shove that cookie in your mouth Satan. Shove that big ol cookie in your mouth. Cuz it's not crumblin on me :-)
