she just doesn't want to jump into a 'date' with someone she doesn't know all that well or hasn't spoken to in years.
To be honest I'd never date anyone I went to high school with, I've kind of moved on from that time in my life..
but everyone is different.
It doesn't necessarily mean she wont ever date you, it just means she doesn't want to feel like she needs to dress up or fight off make out attempts or something.
go and hang out and see if you actually get on first. That is what it sounds like she's saying.
