here is something I learned way too late to do me much good
A girl is not going to smile at you unless she likes you. They do not smile to be polite.
a girl that initiates conversations with you definitely likes you (at least a little) or at worst, does not find you UN-attractive.
a girl that asks you out is almost NEVER kidding, and if she is she is "pretend" kidding and hoping you do not embarrass her by saying no.
and there is always a second chance.
if you as mentioned above, (and believe me I did it for years without realizing I was shooting myself in the foot), make an error and realize it later, you can always go back and bring it up again, and she will be glad you remembered and thought enough of her to bring it back up!
Just a little wisdom that no one ever bothers to tell many of us non-alpha, asshole type guys.
