i must add into this, i don't have many friends locally, so most politcal opinions i hear are of conservative viewpoints

my dad is republican, however he is very open minded and still undecided and is likely to vote obama, but he has many very redneck firefighter buddies that aren't so forward thinking (he mentioned once as a shift commander how you have to look at things a bit more objectively)

one uncle i have i overheard mention during the primary process how it's come to "a nigger and a chick" for the demo ticket, and as nice as he is to me, i take so much offense to it and hope he isn't instilling his children, my cousins, with this philosophy, and is first hand knowledge that race is certain a real issue in this thing, and if anyone says otherwise doesn't get out enough (and i barely get out in the first place and still hear it)

it's so odd to have been mostly surrounded with this mind set for so long, now with my job it's a more forward thinking set that doesn't discriminate and just gets it

i think i need more wodka, i don't work until 6pm tomorrow anyways
