Catachresis as a social phenomenon is fascinating. The proliferation of the word 'logic' fascinates me; its lay definition suggests something to which everyone can appeal. A quick survey of your average office politics suggests that 'logic' means little more than 'emotional investment' (i.e. nearly entirely the contrary of its actual definition).
The process of effacement (the Nietzsche/ structuralist/ Derrid-ian lovehorse) makes criticising the misappropriation of words troublesome, surely?
