over the last couple of years i've drifted the guy who i was best friends with since i was about 13 (15 years), he's become deeply conservative, and we no longer have any shared interests, there's still a sense of loyalty so we still hang out, just nowhere near as much as we used to and we don't really have that much to say to each other, we both have other friends that we see way more frequently
