yes, you took my point home.
zemeckis did back to the future and roger rabbit, spielberg did close encounters. zemeckis wins (i'm talking about their good movies).
lucas did crap wars of course, but back to the future is way better then the original trilogy, most importantly because it laughed about itself and wasn't so grandiose and pretentious.
of course all is my personal opinions yadda yadda.
