I've been playing guitar for 2 1/2 years (so I can play bass too), I've had singing lessons for more than a year, and I recently taught myself how to play organ/piano. And I can sort of play harmonica.
When composing my own music, I usually play with my own alternate tunings, after realising the possibilities of alternate tunings.
I usually use tab (like most people seem to), but I can sort of read musical notation.
