oh i also found this interesting bit of trivia:

Corey died of AIDS at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in Manhattan.[2]
After Corey's death, a mummified body with gunshot wounds was found in Corey's belongings. [3] A note attached to the body said, "This poor soul broke into my apartment and I was forced to shoot him."[1]
