Unusual perception can't be beat for dynamic experience. Of course, you don't have to get this perception just through drugs.

Alcohol is ok ocasionally because it offers new (less inhibited) experiences. But no drugs are good to take all the time.

A life without any unusual perception is a life of only static perception, it's still important life experience, but not anything beyond. Life experience working its way to your brain on an expressway...
