It's like new medical products, lotions, etc... There's usually bad effects that haven't been discovered yet, but there's still people that buy into them right away.
I bought the Motorola Razor last year. I paid $400 for the pay-as-you-go one. Then I dropped a fucking weedwhacker on it. Now the front screen is all cracked and I lost the battery plate.
