As one who witnessed the digital "revolution" in the 1980s, I am highly amused to see the pendulum swinging back in favor of LPs. It's so funny. People in 1987, 1988, 1989 were dumping their LPs by the boxes full, literally. You could pick them up cheap, new and sealed, in Musiclands for under five bucks as stores tried to liquidate their vinyl inventory to make way for CDs. My neighbor shouted across the yard, "Hey, you replaced your albums with CDs yet? Once you do, you won't go back. You should hear the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac CDs I bought today."

LPs were second-rate, virtually obsolete. Now they're back. And look at the prices!

"Hey, neighbor, you replaced your CDs with LPs yet? You should hear the Jesus Lizard and Big Black records I bought today."
