I agree, Rushdie is guilty of nothing.
England should knight who they want, when they want. However, this doesn't mean its always right.
Besides that, we're talking about a book written twenty years ago? Now suddenly it has people talking again. It's actually already blown over, surprisingly in the Middle East. No one cares.
