yah, i had a full STD screening test, hence the swabs. Thinking back on it I had a needle inside me on various parts on my body on four occasion. had to clench my teeth as you can probably imagine.
BUT
it's all worth it. I am glad that I'm now in the knowledge that I'm a disease free man. It's worse walking around not knowing what or what not you might have. you can never ever be 100% sure... I was so shocked when the nurse told me that 1 in 5 gay men in London is HIV positive, and even more shocking is the fact that a good proportion of them don't even know it!!
it certainly IS enough to put me off sex for live, but hey, it's all about being sensible and safe.
Kinda made me think about that movie Kids where you can can always be safe, and then that one time you take a risk and that's it, you've contracted HIV vs. the guy who sleeps around like it's going out of fashion, unsafe and all, and doesn't contract anything. 'tis the name of the game...
