I kind of don't mean this, but I kind of do...and posted something to this effect on the old forum.
Atari has always been one of my favorite posters, and I will miss his contributions on here. He's a damn intelligent guy with great insight.
However, if he chooses not to post here because of some internet argument with an anonymous enemy, in addition to the forum being overrun with people he has deemed childish, well - he's made his decision, I'm not going to waste my breath beseeching him to return.
If he has deemed the forum to be collectively irritating to him, and we exceed his threshold of tolerance, then the symbiotic relationship between the forum and atari seems to have come to a tragic end.
I didn't expect someone like him to quit the forum for such petty reasons. But it's his personal choice, obviously.
Again, I'll miss him. But if he's that dissatisfied with the forum, then I suppose it's better for him and us that he doesn't post.
