I'll be the first to write that I am not the biggest Dinosaur, Jr. enthusiast.
Personally, it doesn't bother me when Dinosaur, Jr., threads appear here on the board though.
And even if it did bother me, I wouldn't make numerous posts to complain about it.
But that's all neither here nor there.
Here we have yet another thread that finds sir porkcorker engaging in some decidedly left-field J.-bashing that should make just about anyone scratch their head.
Yes, there are lots of other talented guitarists and musicians that deserve mention in our pages here, but it shouldn't come as a surprise to any reasonable person that people here are interested in J. and Dinosaur, Jr., since, after all, he is a longtime personal friend of Sonic Youth and this is a Sonic Youth message board.
J. Mascis has a singular, individual style (no one else sounds like him) and he is, to even the most untrained ears, obviously a talented, if not gifted, guitarist.
Anyone who would ever assert differently, (just like the case with The Beatles) has an axe to grind because they are a fucking asshole with nothing better on their mind but being a contrarian cunt bitch.
