How nice. I'm a bit stuck for words now. My own feelings, working with socialist types, is that charity and kindness are non-political: I share the same goals and morals as these people, I just differ strongly on how they should be achieved, especially by government. The issue of liberty and personal freedom is a major one for me too.

I said I could be no type of communist because socialism means less liberty and less freedom, more controls and more taxes. Oppression, basically.

The rough idea of anarcho-commune has some merit but again, anarchism is something I see as having nothing whatsoever to do with left-wing politics, since it involves the freedom and empowerment of the individual. That doesn't happen in a socialist system.
