the hippies brought us good things like organic food and decent granola.

however, it took smart business people to make these both safe and available to the general public.

i prefer hippies to hicks. without hippies we'd be stuck in some kind of 50's paradigm, and everybodywould have those shitty haircuts and starched shirts and... oh no!

yes the hippy revolution failed flat but it left some nice things behind like sexual freedom and the spread of tasty ethnic cuisines in otherwise bland culinary landscapes.

now we know the hippies just stole from the beatniks but while the beatniks were a cultural ghetto the hippies were hordes! then later they became cokeheads & yuppies and repented their youth.

hippies are alright, and mostly harmless. they need better haircuts though. badly.
