I think deciding to take on Lewis Carroll's story is more impressive than coming up with an "animated slap-stick." Both required tremendous artistic talent, and Warner Bros. in particular required a revolutionary leap in the art. But conceptually, Disney's movie ideas are more worthy of admiration.
However, as far as normal cartoons, Loony Tunes vs. Mickey stuff, I like Loony Toons way more. Donald bugs the crap out of me, but I find Daffy perfectly tolerable.
There's a Donald Nazi cartoon, but I thought I read that it was anti-Nazi somehow. I didn't watch the whole thing. It's on Youtube.
