I think one of the most jarring details is that he found at least (not all the perps were identified, from what I've heard) 50 willing participants in this horrifying act and they mostly came from within the general periphery of the town they were living in. That's some real abyss-behind-the-picket-fence shit there. Gisèle's a trooper for putting them on the spot and seeing this through in a calm and collected manner despite everything.
