Well, we don't at the moment because there's some kind of problem which hopefully won't get worse and lead to a website breakdown like the one we had, when was it, three years ago or so? Those were the dark ages, man... Yeah, so to answer your question: we received email notifications when there was a new post on a thread we were subscribed to. And how do you subscribe to a thread? By posting on it, or starting a new one, or simply by going to Thread Tools -> Subscribe.
Currently I'm subscribed to 1,045 threads. Dunno if that's a lot, but it's never meant I got my email inbox flooded with shit because this place hasn't exactly been overflowing with activity for a long time, you follow.
