Austria just decided to elect a far right party in a parlamentary election. After years of a devastating pandemic and recent floodings that have razed existences, people decided to cast their vote for a party that spread disinformation about COVID and denies climate change.
After re-electing a chancellor that had been involved in several scandals and previously lost a vote of confidence, which is akin to shooting yourself in the foot with a shotgun, a significant amount of the voting public now went "Hm, I'm bleeding and it hurts like hell. I guess I'll shoot myself in the other foot as well, I wanna see what happens.". For fuck's sake. I'm done with people.
