It was cheaper to build a PC in 2015 lol.
RAM used to be the most inexpensive part of any build, don't forget, and crypto-mining wasn't around yet to drive GPU prices up a wall.
Bought the case and power supply used. That's why they're outdated as hell, but I prefer the look of older cases, tbh. Don't like my PC being 'sleek' or RGB infested.
Also it's a budget ass Xeon processor, but a Xeon nonetheless. (4 cores, 8 threads, 3.4ghz) I live within driving distance of a Microcenter, and even the staff there was surprised at how cheap they had it listed compared to Newegg, etc. Plus Microcenter price matches so I got everything at the cheapest price possible.
Only thing I really splurged on unncessarily was the mobo due to my love of its black and white look... plus check out that snake! SLI functionality w/ an AMD card makes no sense whatsoever, but I was a complete n00b when I bought all this.
Not like it really mattters. I just miss my baby. I'm like Tetsuo: the Iron Man w/o my Iron rn.
