So far it hasn't worked out and I have my doubts it ever will, but the optimists will say (not necessarily wrongly) that this was always gonna be a transitional season. What's surprised me is how poorly he's performed in the CL. His problems dealing with the Prem are one thing but he knows the CL inside out and should've done better there.
