There's really nothing the NFL (or about any sport in the world) can teach football when it comes to intense rivalries. Some of them are so intense that leagues have tried to ban them because fans have literally been killed as a result. What's the most intense thing (from a rivalry pov) you'll find at a Bears-Packers game, compared with one between say Lazio and Roma or Galatasaray and Fenerbahce or River Plate and Boca Juniors? NFL rivalries might be fun but football ones are a bit more than that. You do have the better cheerleaders though, I'll give you that.
