At the very least he's the mainstream artist of the decade. I think the real underdog story was that of Arcade Fire. They went from nearly calling it quits as unknowns in the early 00's to winning over the indie contingent to winning Album of the Year at the Grammy's within seven years. If they don't go on to become the next U2, they'll at least be the most consistently high-quality mainstream rock offering of the auts.

I still can't get the goddamn Suburbs out of my head. Not just one song either... the whole fucking album.
