i think you can overcome small things when you really love someone.
but if he has a rainforest growing there and you get grossed out every time he takes his shirt off it might be worth talking about it.
however, the guys i know that have a hairy back all seem to hate it... so maybe the step to doing something about it wouldn't be too big.
you could ask him how he feels about the hair, and if it turns out he doesn't like it, suggest removal tips.
