Godard doesn't want DVD's of his work released, PERIOD. He HATES dvd's. He said the ONLY way to watch movies is at a cinema. He also said a non-Frence person should NEVER watch his work as they will only understand "6%, at the most" of it.
So... if we only watch what he "approves", we wouldn't be able to see his films, period.
