Socialism is good for the non-rich poor working people
like the demographic that constitutes the teaparty, so naturally they had to be organized to oppose such ideas at the time when their minds might start to drift
(plus also keep the base primed and motivated between elections much as they did in the 1990s with all kinds of Clinton hysteria)
