no you can't buy peace with money. but people buying art usually don't think "ooh i'm going to buy this statue so the terrorists can get more bombs"; they think it matches their carpet.

and what sense does the rest of this make? if you connect all people who want peace out of their free will, there's still tons of them disconnected who get something out of violence and war.

it has been proven time and time again that the right circumstances bring the worst in humans out. i sound pessimistic and i know it, but an entirely peaceful world is a utopia and will never happen.
