i read somewhere that pregnant women have been holding that myth "dark beer is good for pregnant women" just so they are not completed deprived of booze for 9 months.
my mom used to give me shots of brandy, some doctor told her it'd help me wanna eat more and get stronger. I was devastated when she decided to replace that for some real vitamin formula.
