upside down clocks along charcoal colored square window
metling steel forming stairs to hell.......

my friend jay wrote a poem today that started "it is big and long from my home"

I voted 10 on the grounds that I went down the screen quick enough to not read it. No offence, but I really, really, really hate poetry made by people. But I'm sure it's very good, I just never, ever want to read it.

What the fuck kind of a question is that? Other people's poetry is mostly indulgent bollocks. I like Mr Chatham, hence I refuse to read his poem. Isn't that as simple as can be? I'm sure it's fucking excellent, but I absolutely, categorically refuse to read poetry made by anyone for any reason apart from dead people whose family I don't know. Couldn't be simpler for me. Rhys - you're poem's probably the kind of thing that would change my mind - you fucking rock.

Literate trash cans? I don't even know what that means. In fact, I suspect it means nothing. Look. I'm being honest - I don't like poetry unless it's made by someone about whom I can have an opinion without feeling guilty about disliking it. I like Rhys, and I don't want to dislike his poetry, so I'm refusing to read it. I have so very, very many friends who give/ have given me their shit, indulgent, masturbatory, cod-romantic/ pseudo- postmodern bollocks that I have simply given up reading poetry unless it's by someone who's already published, which means that there is some kind of shit-filter between it and me. Go to Poetry.com, read everything on there, and then try and tell me that I'm not right.
