The abstract poetics of Dick Hell
Currently reading Godlike. I loved Go Now, but was apprehensive about reading Godlike due to mixed reviews. But I must say it's pretty great. It weaves a more straight narrative with an even more poetic vibe than Go Now. His poetic stylings also remind me to some extent of Thurston Moore's books.

are you meaning Richard Hell's novels ?? I should start to read something one day.
You definitely should, mister
I prefer his literary output to his musical one.
Godlike sounds good to me! Is it wrote in an understandable english?
my eng sucks for real, I just read this board sometimes and read some technical guitar/gear books in eng. very poetry
you might find it confusing... not necessarilly a bad thing, perhaps?
Is "Go Now" the road trip one? I started off enjoying that, and I liked the way it was written, but the chief character got right on my tits and I spent much of the second half of the book wishing he'd OD.
generally I'm feel comfortable in the confusion....not a bad thing absolutely just keep it.
to judge how I play gtr after have read these books there should be some confusion seriously! :) |

yep. I read an interview w/ Hell by Lester Bangs and it seemed like Billy Mudd is quite an apt approximation of Hell during his punk days. It seems he's calmed down to some extent now though. |
