uff I just go stupid on payday. Cds, books and other shit I don't need. I must start budgeting better, cos this whole 'skint on the last week' shit is getting boring.

Those are the sort of things I still can't get used to not finding essential! I got better at making sure that I have food in the cupboard in the past couple of years or else I would be constantly broke through eating rubbish from tempting takeaways and ready-made meals.

Well I got paid yesterday and went out and got myself a new James Lee Burke novel and I found a copy of Sheldon Renay's book Underground Film for a quid in a charity shop (an amazing find). I also picked up copies of this month's Sight and Sound and When Saturday Comes.

I got paid today and bought a slice of carrot cake and a bar of chocolate for my boss because she had a tough presentation in the morning.
