Facebook - you, or your alter ego?
 

Do you censor yourself on your Facebook page, or is it relatively well representative of your true personality?

A lot of my contacts on my Facebook page are professional ones, and I have several family members on there, so my Facebook page is extremely censored when it comes to my true interests and general personality. I'm certain that if I didn't edit myself, it would be very detrimental to my professional life, and I KNOW my family would have me committed. So really, my Facebook page might as well be for an entirely different person.

I'm an avid user of the facebook friends lists... I have a list of family members that I update whenever a new one adds me, and a list of professional contacts on a separate list. Everybody else that I'm friends with are just friends. Whenever I put up content that could be detrimental to my work/family -life, I restrict it to exclude people on those lists. That way only my peers have to see the grosser things that amuse me

Yeah....that's too much work for me. I just "censor" some parts...if you can even say that...

i'm pretty vulgar and open about things but i am like that in real life as well

drugs are the only thing i tend not to discuss on facebook

i find it's still for me

find a system easy'er and more intelligent if everthing is one site
for example information about ecology
that you have all people who are for green cities, against testing on animal, against nucliar power, against polluting industries

that all information can be found on one website that gives all information about the situation of nature and human pollution
like the influencce on the nature where you live from fukushima
how much radicativity you have, what animals are polluted you eat ect
so you are updated from your place
so you can have prevention to stear what you can to give yourlife more life chances
what then an intelligent is

on issues where i stand behind and find smart

and i would not know why my lifecompas should not be directed to live smart
if i can do better

for me it has nothing to do with human fashions, trends and things

take my time before i connect with the online world and recent information

got to stay in reality too
