So i just finished Tinker tailor soldier spy...

...and i am totally confused. I guess there was substance somewhere, but it sure was lost on me. Hope you people are smarter than me.

Also, the 70's settings, costumes, hairdos, and not least Oldmans curmudgeon/hipster glasses made me really fucking ill. But i guess his character was supposed to be repulsive to begin with. They did that right for sure.

On a side note, there is always comfort elsewhere.

I had the same feeling at first. The title reminded me about an old Bill Hicks routine about british vocabulary. You get a fair explanation in the movie, though.
