that said, I hated In Rainbows. hated being the key-word. it's grown on me like a toothy tumor. you see, I don't have an ultra-hip image to mantain and so I'm free to develop dynamic (non-limiting) opinions over music*.
*hell, I even like At War With the Mystics and the Flaming Lips are hardcore cuntz.

no, they actually made a shitload of money on the pay for it yourself idea, if you didn't notice, most people paid for it, and most people bought the boxed set, this newspaper version is the same kind of thing as the boxed set, with a bunch of art work and prints in it. actually I kind of like that idea if you are into paying a lot of money for artistic radiohead crap. I always enjoyed their accompanying artwork. I am sure they will be selling a regular version at the stores just like In_Rainbows did, this is just their own pre-sale, sort of like a mainstream version of t-shirt sales and merchandise table..
Radiohead wants to get all that fejia themselves, directly, which is why they are offering their own digital downloads to compete with the iTunes market.. I will probably find a free copy somewhere as usual, though I really appreciated them giving out In_Rainbows legitimately, it felt more like a community effort and less like piracy. By the way, fuck mainstream record labels and distributors, download download download. Fuck the labels, buy your discs from the merch table at shows, fuck Amazon, fuck iTunes, fuck Target, fuck BestBuy, fuck Amoeba, fuck all that shit, get it directly from the artists or pirate it, because the labels and distributors been fucking artists for years, lets fuck them! If the internet can shut down Mubarak, surely it can shut down bogus capitalist record companies ;)
