where can I go to make internet friends these days?
 

I haven't really been around the internet 'communities' much for say, two or three years? maybe more.

I have a facebook, don't really like myspace. I've always been a forumer or a participant in a good chat room. Don't say IRC unless you know specifics that are good.. I've only been able to find anyone on there who is worth talking to. He is awesome and now a real life lives down the road friend, but that is a pretty low batting average.


I am not affraid of nerds, geeks, gamers, goths, hippies, or the like, they are all my kindreds.

I was selling my panties on ebanned for a while but it didnt make me any friends, just some extra dollars in amazon gift cards.

Soon I'm going to have an online shop for my art and craft.. but I dont think i'd do ebay. Things are too hard to sell and too expensive. Maybe etsy?

In Australia I'm fairly sure that if you just do it casually its classified as a hobby, so you don't pay income tax on it or need to declair it. But it would depend on yr local laws etc.

Next year I'm travelling around the country a bit, so I want to make some online friends again so I don't get bored in hotels.
