does anyone else feel weird when taking benydrel?
 

oh i hope i spelled that right, but i'm not going to get up to look at the box. anyways you guys know what i'm talking about....the allergy medicine. After about 30 min it kind of feels like the begining of a high, and puts me in a good mood. i noticed this a while ago while sitting in drivers ed. i was just like man why am i in such a good mood? but the feeling doesn't last...leaves after like 15 min. does anyone else feel this way when you take this medicine?

Benadryl just puts me to sleep. An old antihistimine, Actifed (not sure if its still available), definately gave me a weird buzz. Felt like my legs were rubber.

Occasionally, another sleep aid/antihistime which I can't spell will give me a buzz--sometimes it doesn't even make me sleepy.

"May cause dizziness or drowsiness--Alcohol may intensify this effect" Is that a warning or a suggestion? (That's George Carlin for you youngun's)

I still have some very strong painkillers from when I broke my ankle jumping backwards off a balcony (and then walking home 5 miles on it because I was tiddly)... most over-the-counters don't do it for me, but these babies, with a pint of whatever ale knock me silly. Gives me proper giggle fits.

Sainsburys (supermarket in the UK) sells a ground coffee which is extra strong and extra caffeinated. A couple of mugs of that on an empty stomach first things in the morning makes me feel incredibly wierd - slightly light headed, totally hyper, and unable to concentrate on anything for more than a few moments. I don't drink the stuff if I'm going to drive any more, 'cause last time I did it was a terrifying experience.

No, that's in cough syrup. *Benadryl* is, I think, some kind of antihistamine.

This guy I knew in high school used to, by association, end up at the same parties as me, and he was always the resident melt. He looked EXACTLY like Jon Heder, and usually sported some kind of multicolored afro. I went to Walgreens one day to get some Benadryl, and he was my cashier. He remarked, "Man, my dad buys this shit all the time, he gets SO fucked up! *insert stoned donkey laugh*"

A benadryl and a beer and I'm out. When I was an insomniac that is actually how I cured it.

Yep. I'm not proud to admit i've done similar. I felt like I hadnt slept when I woke up again though.

Why would you feel guilty about it? It is no worse than taking a sleeping pill, and it probably doesn't have nearly the same ammount of harmful effects that they do. Now if you get into the habit of taking high doses of benadryl with several beers, that would be bad.

haha funny kegmama, but like i said the feeling doesn't last. i had no idea that other people would know what i'm talking about, i thought that it only did it to me cause i ask my mom if she felt like that when she took it and she said no.

I use to take them to help me sleep but they don't help anymore really so I don't take them.

wow , in mexico is called BENADREX , i remember its taste and i almost feel the symptoms, but i played a gig once when i drank a bottle
