Star Wars TV series
George Lucas is at it again with his Star Wars franchise:
http://media.guardian.co.uk/broadcas...193292,00.html I have four words to say to Mr Lucas: "Star Wars Holiday Special". |
I think a Star Wars tv show could be cool if George Lucas doesn't direct or write the episodes.
They said they wanna make it gritty and more adult oriented- like the new BSG or Firefly. Kind of stupid not to have Vader on the show. I'm sure James Earl Jones could be had, or someone could just impersonate him. It isn't that hard of a voice to mimic. If Vader was the one of the main characters, it could be about refugee jedi, the beginnings of the rebellion, and the empire's ever tightening grip. Set just a few years before ANH, so all that stupid prequel technology is gone and the more ragtag rebellion ships and the imperial fleet as seen in the original trilogy dominate the show. As well as Stormtroopers, not Clone troopers. Great thing about a TV show is that the budget will be lower, so less of a special effects budget. That's a good thing knowing what Lucasfilm does with special effects budgets. They waste it on making stupid looking aliens. The aliens in the original trilogy were so much cooler and realistic looking. I'm much more excited for the Space Balls Animated series starting soon on G4. |
Why can't they just make it so Star Tours actually goes somewhere like they promised for decades?
I'm tired of the old fucking robot telling me it's his first trip after the bajillionth time. |
BTW, Ackbar needs to be in the star wars tv show- maybe an important plotline could be the empire's enslaving of multiple alien races, including the Mon Calamari (Ackbar was a slave for Grand Moff Tarkin) and then Ackbar's eventual rescue (in a failed operation trying to capture Tarkin.)
But it would be awesome to see Ackbar yell It's a Trap! right before the imperials enslave him. |
