If you had an hour to live, what album would you listen to?
 

It's going to come down to this one day. It will be the last album of your life. The last recorded music you'll hear. Ever. The last album cover you'll look at, the last time you'll smell the vinyl.

What will it be?

Hildegaard von Bingen. Anything of hers, doesn't matter. Or perhaps Arvo Part's Miserere. Or Schnittke's Cello concerto. Or maybe just Happy Hardcore.

Something that has either the spirit of deathly misery or hapless ridiculousness. Preferably both at once.

Actually, I think I might pick Sticky Fingers. I love the first cut, I love Wild Horses, I love how it fades out over a moonlit road. Yeah, could be perfect, especially with just the right drip of morphine in the line.

Maybe it's because when I had a close friend die, I kind of wished she would have said goodbye? I don't know.

Maybe I would listen to that week long Solypsis, Nxfxtxex and DEADHORSESEYFUCK noise track and cheat death for a while.

Well, try not to be so sentimental about this. But the plan to listen to a long album is a good one. Maybe I should go with Exile on Main St. instead.
