Why do most people talk so much rubbish and present it as gold?

There is a poll on the way. As usual.

Personally I can only think that they do it because they're shit. And I'm not.

Tokolosh 08.28.2007 04:33 AM

Insecurity and the need to fit in. I know.

sonicl 08.28.2007 04:37 AM

It's all about the ego, innit?

demonrail666 08.28.2007 05:01 AM

It's all about the 'post quick reply' button. Maybe we should all be rationed to like three posts a day, and only one thread a week.

pbradley 08.28.2007 05:07 AM

I wish I could vote more than twice (this applies to many things).

sarramkrop 08.28.2007 05:11 AM

I didn't mean people on the internet, for that it isn't voiciferous activity, therefore it's not irritating all that much. I was just wondering.

Tokolosh 08.28.2007 05:13 AM

Airheads always seem to say so much, and mean so little.

sarramkrop 08.28.2007 05:17 AM

The whole 'talking a lot = saying little' thing is not necessarily true. I have a few friends who talk more incessantly than I do, and they talk at you rather than to you, but that doesn't make them any less interesting. It's a tricky one that we've got here.

sonicl 08.28.2007 05:21 AM

Some people just say whatever comes into their heads, without any sort of filtering process that decides whether or not it's worth saying. Women tend to do this more than men, in my experience.

jon boy 08.28.2007 05:53 AM

you tell me porkmarras.

sarramkrop 08.28.2007 05:55 AM

Oh, look! Jonboy's being bitter again!

jon boy 08.28.2007 06:14 AM

since when did asking a question become being bitter?

How long did it take you to work it all out in your mind?

It's the internet. Isn't every statement or question liberally sprinkled with a gooey coat of bitterness?

And, in response to the question of the thread: Mr Marras, people are not talking rubbish and presenting it as gold - they do genuinely object to your general, unwavering and inxeplicable support for whichever far-right organisation is 'hip' in gay-land this week.

Glice 08.28.2007 06:43 AM

I hope no-one saw that post before I edited it. How embarassing.

MellySingsDoom 08.28.2007 07:33 AM

^^^Are to referring to Joerg Haider's "Bummenschaft" movement? Or was that last week's in-thing for the pooves?

sarramkrop 08.28.2007 07:36 AM

Aids-flavoured vodka is more fashionable than Nazis this coming season. That and fireworks that you can insert up your bum.

floatingslowly 08.28.2007 07:41 AM

never in real life, always on the internet.

that's my motto and I'm sticking to it.

when it comes to humans, I think that I just don't know.

Florya 08.28.2007 09:25 AM
