really? It's interesting to see how locality can be so different. Here in Ottawa it's very difficult to find someone without one. It's a really clean site and I like those social networking sites too

I just meant that my facebook is more for people I know in real life. MySpace is where you would get to know me if we met over the internet.

I don't have a Facebook. Everyone just moved onto Facebook because they realized Myspace is lame. Soon they'll see that Facebook is just as dumb and ditch it for whatever new site becomes popular.

I had a facebook before I ever had a myspace, and while facebook is cooler in some ways I think I like myspace more.

I think some poeple are like that, but not all. I wouldn't classify social networking as dumb becuase it really can be useful in regards to meeting people you lost contact with, planning events, sharing interests, etc. I don't see why many people dislike it so much.

I have a Facebook page simply because like EVERYONE I went to college with had one, so it was kinda helpful to coodinate study groups and stuff. I don't have a Myspace though, I don't like the way Myspace pages look.

Agreed about myspace, especially as a designer! Myspace does do the job as a networking site and has more options for css customization, but the fact is that many people download templates and mess around with them so the navigation and layout are weird. Facebook has applications that you can cleanly place into your profile and it follows common look and feel.

I use Virb mostly, but I don't have a personal profile on any of these things, just bands.

yeah, i quit facebook after a week or two because it's just a bit creepy really
