Very funny.Words can get a bit much and loose all their meaning. Misery swiflty comes in , as if it's been waiting on the sides. Tears are always there, waiting for an excuse. Well done, you person, i have just reminded myself about that.

Early morning radio chat jobby on radio 4. Said that middle-class dyslexics were merely stupid and 'making up' that they had a disease. It was hilarious and entirely wrong, which fulfills my two crucial criteria of comedy.

I'm not usually one to make sizeist remarks, seeing them as pathetic bullying, but allow me to make an exception...

If Julie Burchill wasn't so busy shoving those unspoken-about cream cakes in her pie-hole, she might just take a minute to ponder upon the ugliness of some of her words. Famously intolerant of gays, she nevertheless trumpets at every opportunity about her 6 month tourist holiday to the shores of Lesbos, Trumpets them to the middle class, and NOT to the working class that she so worships, in a move to assuage her guilt at being firmly middle class herself. Julie would like to think she's the voice of honesty, but her appalling Dworkin-like flabbiness is only matched by her stupid, ignorant, hypocritical, bigoted, lazy and FAKE mind.

Personally, I very rarely agree with Birchill. And she's a provocateuratrix par excellance. She's full of shit, but I find her entirely entertaining whilst being so, which is more than I can say about most journalists (see also Steven Wells).

Agree with you about Steven Wells: "Ooh, look at me, I'm controversial!". "Oh, piss off, loser." Even worse is Stewart Home - perhaps I should be sticking up for gay writers like him, but I can't, and his SWP leanings are pretty yucky too.

She is an entertaining writer, albeit one who makes it difficult to take her seriously. She contradicts herself way too often, and too often comes accross as a harsher version of Zoe Williams, Self and or any number of pricks who are paid to give their opinion on mostly irrelevant subjects, or irrelevant subjects to most, at least. She once wrote something on The Guardian about her father and men in general, and that made me think that not only she doesn't like men that much, but possibly she finds the entire population of the earth beneath her as a whole.
