Heavier Than Heaven - Kurt Cobain Biopic
http://enewsi.com/news.php?catid=190&itemid=10586
WTF way to old, i dont think this is true, but still if it is..WTF!!! |
that's an interesting choice...
not as bad as casting Elijah Wood to play iggy pop... i'm pretty sure the nirvana film will be shit though. |
ha. dont get over excited. he does look like his lost twin though
|
he is too old though, i really would rather an unknown to play kurt rather than a Jedi.
|
What??

Yeah, a young padwon. |
i thought heavier than heaven was a good read, and was pretty cool
I hope the film focus's lots on Kurts younger days, i enjoyed reading about that the most. Losing his virginity and meeting band members, and jamming with other known band members now, the small stuff is what i like. |

they look alike. |
who.....Ewan and kurt?
|
|
see. its like he faked his own death and cut his hair and now he says he's evan mc gregor.
|
no waaaaaaaaaaaaaay you gotta be kidding right
Yes i see a resemblence, but nothing good enough for a film i think, especially how old ewan is now |

Here's your Kurt McGregor!
|
looks more like a evan cobain to me
|
According to that Kurt killed himself in 1995... thats news to me
|
i heard kurt was going to be played by marleypumpkin.
|
who is gonna play courtney?
|
They'll probably just cast some random whore who's off her head on smack then kill her at the end so they don't have to pay anything.

thats easy *whispers to ear* a few blowjobs will do |
the photoshop of kurt and ewan is pretty good, makes me think it could be done, but i still think he is too old now
I hope who ever plays him gets gets voice right, it always sounded like it was a bad quality cassette |

but kurt lived a young life, even 27 is still very young, i want see young 17-27 kurt not 26-27 kurt
|
oh shite
see i have a problem with this cuz i fancy the pants of Ewan McGregor, this got particually messy when he was cast in Star Wars (as i'm a Star Wars geek) and i had to distance myself from the whole thing in order to take the film at the level of intensity which i do when it comes to Da Wars Films. oh well, i suppose he is a good actor with a lovely bum so it should be worth a watch for that alone. what does Kegmama think? |

why is it such an untouched venture to find the times when life was good for him and he was out there learning what music was all about , the different bands and experiences . if they have to fuckin make a movie at all . |
wondering how script might look like.
|
probably something like this:

I can dig that, Last Days was like The Passion of The Christ, I am not intentionally comparing Christ with Cobain, I'm just saying these people did a lot in there lives and they were more important than the way they died. |

Lets fucking hope not. That dude ruins nearly everything. I hope they forget about making a Nirvana movie. It can't lead to anything good. Anybody seen the Hendrix movies or the Beatles movies? There's my point. ... Although, the Beach Boys movie was most enjoyable. Edited: And the Doors movie is enjoyable. Even though they made him out to be a fucking fruitloop. |

beat me to it! |

Ok so i can either be al 'Er no hollywood lame bla bla' or 'hey i got no control, and a movie is just another style of art so who gives a fuck, ill try enjoy it'
So im excited there is a NIRVANA movie in the works...whats got me more excited is the casting of everyone in this film. Depending on how deep this movie goes, we could be seeing Sonic Youth casted, dino jr, REM, melvins, hole. Then there is the casting of Dave and Krist, even chad and the early scooby gang. |
|
like i have said before, the way i see it, its going to happen either way of us bitching and complaining. Im a huge NIRVANA fan, and would hate to see their image be fucked up, but it is a biopic and most biopics do have lots of false information.
Im excited about the casting and the idea that we will hopefully have lots of other great bands of the 80s-90s being casted too. |
I think he'll do a good Kurt. He looked a lot like him in Velvet Revolver. McGregor is a great actor. We all know he can play a good junkie; Trainspotting taught us that much. I just hope he gets the American accent right. If there is a hint of Scottish brogue in there, it might ruin the whole experience. But in general, I'm optimistic about his performance. Hopefully this movie won;t be as dissapointing as Last Days which left me with mixed feelings.
I respect Gus Van Zant and Michael Pitt, Kurt Cobain has some mighty big shoes to fill, but the movie just wasn't that good. It was not the most fitting tribute to the legacy that Kurt left behind despite Kim's and Thurston's imput. |
