Important debate thread.

Jacket collar up or down? What does it tell about the person? Discuss.

A baked potato, or jacket potato,[1] is the edible result of baking a potato. When well cooked, a baked potato has a fluffy interior and a crisp skin. It may be served with fillings and condiments such as butter, cheese or ham. Potatoes can be baked in a conventional gas or electric oven, a convection oven, a microwave oven, on a barbecue grill, or on/in an open fire. Some restaurants use special ovens designed specifically to cook large numbers of potatoes, then keep them warm and ready for service.

Jacket collar down, always. You need to be Elvis good looking to get away with it. NoU-era Svenonius could just about get away with it; Lux could. Someone like Thurston Moore - very good looking - couldn't get away with it.

Glice 05.19.2012 12:48 PM

Oh, also - if you look hard as fuck you could get away with it. Lemmy, certainly. But then, Lemmy gets away with a lot. I'm thinking that Barny Napalm might just get away with it, but Rollins wouldn't.

depends on the situation. generally i would say down but if walking in a stiff northeasterly one rainy night then i would say its acceptable to turn it up.

never one side up and one down, thats a whole other argument.

I was under the impression if a man or woman wore their collar up, it meant "I'm one mean mofo you don't wanna mess with". Am I right?

Trust James Dean to have one collar up, and one collar down.

Are jacket potatoes popular in Brazil?

knox 05.27.2012 01:58 PM

My mom used to call them stuffed potatoes, which makes a lot more sense to me.
