Husker Du? Robert Johnson? Television? VU?

Sounds excellent! I just got into television recently myself. I have John Coltrane and Ornette Coleman on my list too

k-krack 10.12.2006 09:08 PM

It's ambitious, for sure. Very rock n roll.

k-krack 10.12.2006 09:09 PM

Oh! I recommend Meat is Murder from the Smiths. In my opinion, I like it more. (Than what I have heard from tQiD)

hey alex 10.12.2006 09:12 PM

awesome stuff

good luck getting to all of it, sounds like fun.

umjammer atomsk 10.12.2006 09:17 PM

I have two Johnny Thunders albums. I've never listened to them though. I don't know where they came from either.

golden child 10.12.2006 09:39 PM

cruddy, non of it is 'terrible' but there defiantly is stuff out there that is better.

everyone should have these classics!

Glice 10.13.2006 07:14 AM

You could do without most of those. And I'd recommend Beck-era Yardbirds over Clapton/ Mayall Bluesbreakers.

Cantankerous 10.13.2006 09:38 AM

television - marquee moon
the raincoats - self titled
77 - talking heads

gmku 10.13.2006 09:40 AM

Since I own and love about 90 percent of what's on that list myself, I can say with confidence that you got one helluva list there. I'd even say there's not one stinker in the whole bunch.

Cantankerous 10.13.2006 09:43 AM

definitely get the heartbreakers record too, and get "blank generation" (richard hell and the voidoids)

HaydenAsche 10.13.2006 09:44 AM

I'm not into very many of these records.

Cantankerous 10.13.2006 09:44 AM

that's because you're a twat and you like xiu xiu and belle & sebastian.

CORRECTION.

I love Xiu Xiu.
I love Belle and Sebastian.

Glice 10.13.2006 09:49 AM

There's no Fall on the list. Why would anyone make a list of records and not include the Fall? Are they, perhaps, mentally ill?

HaydenAsche 10.13.2006 09:50 AM

HEX ENDUCTION HOUR, bitch.

Glice is right as all hell.

gmku 10.13.2006 09:50 AM

Ditto C.'s definitely Heartbreakers. That's one I don't have but've been trying to track down forever.

Ironically, that's one of the few Fall albums I've yet to procure (I'm trying to find all the 80s ones on vinyl).

Cantankerous 10.13.2006 09:52 AM

brix almost ended up being the bassist for hole about 12 years ago.

Danny Himself 10.13.2006 10:31 AM

The whole thing lacks Pavement. CRCR/Wowee Zowee era.

Katy 10.13.2006 11:42 AM

Needs more Iggy.

(Unless you already have The Stooges, "Funhouse", "Raw Power", "Lust For Life" and "New Values"...)

Aside from that, it's fine. Enjoy.

Toilet & Bowels 10.13.2006 02:20 PM

i didn't write a list of records, but imagine i did, now tell me what you think but don't write banal words of assurance, i'm not looking to hear that stuff.

What the fuck are you thinking, you hipster retard? For fuck's sake man. All that list says about you is that your genitals are incredibly small.

thindarkduke13 10.13.2006 09:14 PM

I have all o' the Stooges and Iggy's lust for life

He's gotchoo there.

thindarkduke13 11.09.2006 08:11 PM

So i'm deciding to buy something. I recently got Washing Machine and The Queen Is Dead so I'm at a tie between
Entertainment-Gang of 4
For Yr. Pleasure-Roxy Music
Lexicon of Love-ABC
Blue Sunshine-The Glove
and Psychocandy

i can't believe you don't have any hip hop albums on there! closed
minded guitar-centric twat!

ni'k 11.09.2006 08:44 PM

as has already been said. the fall. im not a fan of a few of those records, but judging by what you've got you would probably like the fall. the hex enduction hour 2xLP reissue is a fucking treasure.

if you want to check them out first
DOWNLOAD - The Classical
Sparta FC
Spoilt Victorian Child
Victoria
Repetition

That's what I recommend for starters. They are probably one of the most ugliest dirtiest anti pop and off putting band out there, and as such are difficult to get into, and you'll probably hate them at first. There's also a 2xCD best of called 50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong that's a good starter.

Norma J 11.09.2006 10:21 PM

It's not a bad list. It's good to see some Stones on there - I must get me some more Stones.

fishmonkey 11.10.2006 05:32 AM

add Comets on Fire - Avatar to that list and rock it out.
